If you lead a busy life you may find that there is something extremely important you regularly neglect. Don't let a busy life-style prevent you from looking after your personal self care needs. It's easy to let other people's demands take over your life and put aside the vital need to care for your own body, mind and spirit.
What does this mean? This means looking after your body, mind and spirit by regular exercise, both stretching such as yoga and more strenuous exercise such as walking, running, dancing or taking part in sports.
It means eating healthily by increasing fresh fruit and vegetables, decreasing the amount of fatty and sugary foods, eating plenty of good oils and fats from avocado, olives and nuts and less from fatty meats and full fat dairy products.
It means keeping your brain active by life long learning, reading and enquiring. Join courses to acquire new knowledge, join clubs to follow your take part in your favourite hobbies.
It means recognising your spirituality too by connecting with your inner self, a Higher Being, or God, according to your own religious or non-religious beliefs.
A way to do this can be using the power of music, creativity or yoga all of which can connect you to something outside of yourself.
